Ohio Video -The Maxx2Racing Team Honors Our Sponsors and Special Contributors

SSS2August 24, 2012 – If you are new to our Maxx2Racing Team Sponsorship proposals, we welcome you to view those proposals by first watching this video. If you haven’t made the decision to join this effort, you most likely will change your mind once you view this video. We are very sponsorship oriented, and that is something most teams of any size strive for, from the highest rated racing organizations, down to the local race car owners who run weekly at local tracks. However, the economy has “Put the Squeeze” on company profits, with many of those cutting sponsorship and promotional budgets to the bone. Each component we ask for is one step closer to the final finished product, in this case, the Maxx2Racing Team cars, one being a ‘Full Bore Race Car’, the other a Race Car/Highway Driven Car of note.

The Video Presentation you are about to view was compiled after our 18 day adventure to the Inaugural ECTA Wilmington Ohio ECTA Mile event of April 27th-29th. Needless to say, our goals were accomplished, setting the AA/GCT record of 202.7, in spite of multiple delays on the reinstallation and dyno sessions of the upgraded motor, much rain over the 3 days at the event, and the tireless efforts of all. Most notably was Bob Lucas, our longtime friend, and Co-Driver/Sponsor on The Royal Purple Maxx2Racing ‘Bad Bird’ LSR Race Car, who kept his spirits up after long days, many that were well into the 16-18 hour range.

Yes, it was great to finally return home, and relax for a day or two, and then it was back to preparation of the car for the Inaugural Mojave Magnum events of June 1-3. Wilmington was just a ‘Tune-up’ for the car, with it running 224.9 at Mojave in early June, again, a ‘Tune-up’ for our “The Assault On The Salt”, set for September or October.

..and then continue reading this tribute to each and every sponsor, individual, and racing organization that has brought the Maxx2Racing Team to this point of Land Speed Racing. You are our ‘Family’, more than you will ever know, and we say ‘Thanks’ a Million times over.

Now, you’ve watched a video presentation produced by Thom Bell, owner of Bell Production Services. What a special take on what a group can accomplish once their goals are set into motion. Thom is a professional in every way, and that shows in the video. Yes, we’ve uploaded videos to multiple media and social network sites previously, but nothing like this one. Thom will also produce a second video of the M2 Team, with footage provided by ourselves, and through the work of previous photographers. That won’t be easy, but Thom can do that.

For 2012, we added many new sponsors. Those include Dynamat (’99 Firebird Insulating Materials), Jet-Hot Performance Coatings, Ron Francis Wireworks (’99 Firebird wiring), Mahle/Clevite, Total Seal Piston Rings, and Comp Cams for the ‘Upgrade’ of the RP ‘Bad Bird’ motor, K&N (Fuel Filters/Crankcase Filters/A/F Ratio Monitor/Air Filters/Performance Air Filter/2005 Dodge Ram Support-Push Truck.

Now, we announce out newest two (2) full sponsors-
Full Moon Wheels. We are honored to feature their new line of Custom Wheels on the ’99 Royal Purple Firebird, with one of their first sets of these newly designed Black with Red accents to add to the look of the car, something we call an ‘Gnarly Look’. The car is a combination of race car, pro street, and pro touring, with a leaning towards an effect of challenging to the norm. OPTIMA® Batteries Joins The Maxx2Racing Team Sponsorship List

The Maxx2Racing Team welcomes OPTIMA® Batteries to our growing list of official sponsors. OPTIMA has furnished the batteries for the M2 Team cars, The Royal Purple Maxx2Racing ‘Bad Bird’ LSR Race Car – and –- The Royal Purple ’99 Firebird LSR Race Car-Highway Hauler. We demand the best, and that is OPTIMA.

With nothing short of meeting our goals in Land Speed Racing, running at these levels takes its toll on each and every component, with the final piece of the puzzle being batteries that do not fail. Of note is the fact that a second REDTOP® battery for the ’99 Firebird was provided for those long days and nights at multiple car shows, as the car requires extra power to run the lighting inside the car, plus the accessories planned for the car for the future. For the RP ‘Bad Bird’, their YELLOWTOP® was selected to keep this multiple record setting car running at its peak levels.

OPTIMA joins a list of official sponsors of ‘Who’s Who’ in the automotive racing and performance world, something we are proud to state time and again. These sponsors fully know we perform to levels that must be met or exceeded, and we meet our deadlines as stated.

As a Sponsor, participating sponsor, or discount supplier, your continuing support cannot be underestimated. Many if not most of our sponsors are also long time SEMA Show exhibitors, with a few of them being new exhibitors at this year’s SEMA Show. Our Mission Statement “To be the very best representative for our sponsors that we can be”. We are sponsor oriented, with the best of the best participating in our Team Concept, a concept very few teams of any size accomplish or even attempt. Our media representation is of the highest quality possible. We always and will continue to state, “Sponsors and Suppliers are not just dollar signs to us; they are family, and partners. Companies that have their lives invested into auto related activities, including every type, kind, and size of events one can imagine. Their dedication to an industry that continues to thrive beyond all expectations and economic situations. We are honored to feature these companies on our Maxx2Racing Team cars.”

December 2011/Royal Purple to sponsor the Maxx2Racing Team ’99 Firebird, adding to its sponsorship of The Royal Purple Maxx2Racing ‘Bad Bird’ LSR Race Car. Our continuing support from Royal Purple Synthetics cannot be underestimated. Royal Purple doesn’t sponsor just anyone, but carefully reviews those requests, and then determines if those sponsorships are in the best interests of their company. They have been on board the project since 2010.

2012-2013 and beyond

Our newest ‘Build’ is being built in our home race car shop, which is fully equipped to handle these projects, from the Bend Pak 4 post lift, to a large capacity compressor, air tools, hand tools, metal working tools, etc. We aren’t competing with the top builders in the industry, and don’t pretend to be. We aren’t building a trailer queen, as we don’t have or need the budget to accomplish that.

The Firebird, in its ‘Brilliant Black’ and Royal Purple colors, is being built to ‘Show Quality’, yet, will still be a Land Speed Race Car of note. Not a rarity? Actually, the car will be highway driven, and compete at various LSR events for 2012. One can take a nice weekend drive, an enjoyable experience, without that feel of harshness. The UMI Suspension Components, along with the RideTech Air Suspension System will provide a ride you normally do not see in these cars.

Our motto for 2012, “Your Name Here”, these Sponsorship Packages feature a very small sponsorship request and/or per event fee, with your company Logo-Decal-QR Tags on one or both cars, noting that multiple current sponsors and suppliers have already signed up for this program.

Our ever expanding list of official funding sponsors/participating sponsors/discount suppliers includes Royal Purple Synthetics, Point Imaging (Car wraps, renderings), ProSystemsRacing(Carbs), Ron Francis Wiring, Dynamat, Dupont Performance Coatings (’99 Firebird), BowTie Overdrives, Ice Ignition, UMI Performance, Comp Cams, K&N, Total Seal Piston Rings, Mahle/Clevite, Jet-Hot Performance Coatings, Canton Racing Products, Auto Meter, ARP, RideTech, Team WIX, Full Moon Wheels (’99 Firebird), FOREVERBOLT, OPTIMA Batteries, CAVALLINOS Collision Center, Palo Alto, CA, CMF Fabrication/Tony Taylor, Fallon NV (Fabrication, Painting/Both cars), Safety Equipment Suppliers-Deleware Chassis Works, DJ Safety, Stroud, Simpson, Alltizer Inc, Custom & Production Powder Coatings, Moundhouse, NV, Ric Donofrio/Co-driver/Sponsor, Bob Lucas/Co-driver/Sponsor, SSC-SS Customs (Car Wrap Installation), David Haas-Haas Racing/Haas Brothers Racing-Tom Haas, Steve ‘Hodgeman’ Hodge/Co-driver/Sponsor, the Maxx2Racing Team support crew, Brian Lucas, James MacPherson, Troy ‘The Toy Man’ Hancock, Jason Barrick, plus five (5) new ‘Full’ sponsors to be soon announced.

As The Royal Purple ’99 Firebird LSR Race Car-Highway Hauler nears completion, now in its Epoxy Primer stages (2 Applications), then its Dupont ‘Brilliant Black’/Royal Purple wrap colors, who will have the honor of showing this car in this year’s SEMA Show? That could soon be announced, depending on the final offers from all of these great companies. Stay Tuned! Note that this car is ‘Fully Sponsored’, something we are proud to state.

Our signature says it all, and a few minutes viewing our websites, which are updated on a continuing basis, will provide you with race event and show event results, sponsorship announcements, and future event updates.

The History of : information hroisty An automobile powered by a Otto gasoline engine was built in Germany by in 1885 and granted a patent in the following year. Although several other engineers (including Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Maybach and Siegfried Marcus) were working on the problem at about the same time, Benz is generally credited with the invention of the modern automobile. The large-scale, production-line manufacturing of affordable automobiles was debuted by Ransom Eli Olds at his Oldsmobile factory in 1902. This assembly line concept was then greatly expanded by Henry Ford in the 1910s. Development of automotive technology was rapid, due in part to the hundreds of small manufacturers competing to gain the world’s attention. Key developments included electric ignition and the electric self-starter (both by Charles Kettering, for the Cadillac Motor Company in 1910-1911), independent suspension, and four-wheel brakes.Although various pistonless rotary engine designs have attempted to compete with the conventional piston and crankshaft design, only Mazda’s version of the Wankel engine has had more than very limited success.Since the 1920s, nearly all cars have been mass-produced to meet market needs, so marketing plans have often heavily influenced automobile design. It was Alfred P. Sloan who established the idea of different makes of cars produced by one company, so that buyers could move up as their fortunes improved. The makes shared parts with one another so that the larger production volume resulted in lower costs for each price range. For example, in the 1950s, Chevrolet shared hood, doors, roof, and windows with Pontiac; the LaSalle of the 1930s, sold by Cadillac, used the cheaper mechanical parts made by the Oldsmobile divisionSource:
